I guess It would have to be my current ride ZZR1400, longest I've ever kept a bike, just pipping the R1 I bought in '04. The "perfect roadbike" is obviously subjective to the individual but this comes close for me. Probably the best bike ever to wear the sports tourer hat IMO. It's certainly no full on scratcher but has excellent handling that belies it's weight, comfortable with power and torque to die for. A steady cruise round, attack your favourite route or chuck on some luggage and head for the other end of the country. Easy.

E1092A89-C1EC-42C0-95A5-1AED3278F27D.jpeg 7 bikes in 16 months and I kept the Ditch Pump R9T for 13 of those months!

Was interested in the new T660 but it seems like it might be mid ‘21 before it shows?

The Ditch Pump Dealer mailed to say they had an R9T Pure (Low) come in, and today, #8 is in my garage.
It was the LOW bit that clinched the deal for me.

Still time to get bored and change again before the T660 arrives.
    Cheers,Ken.
PS. Leave the pitch forks in the shed. :scream:;)

    Hey, Bad Billy,
I can’t afford to collect ‘em!
Still only 2 in the garage, the other being an old BM 1100RS I picked up a few weeks ago.
    Cheers,Ken.

I did the same from the late 80's up to the early 2000's. I was a sucker for a spec sheet and every time a new 'Blade/R1/Gixer came out I had to have it and wasn't bothered in the least about the big hit on the trade in deal. More money than sense maybe but I enjoyed every minute of it so what price that?

    Correction needed to my post.
I did buy 7 bikes in 16 months, but I kept the last one (BM) for 13 months after the 16 months, making total of 7 bikes over 29 months.
    Ken.

Sir William, the Aprilias will move your soul. Over the years I’ve had a 2001 Mille R, a 2007 Tuono, and an RSV4, and a Tuono Factory.

I just sold that 2005 Tuono Factory today (to my buddy who is also named Bill ;)). So I’ll be without an Ape for the first time in 14 years.

I will no doubt regret this, but Bill tells me that I have visitation rights :grinning:

Ooooh. You want me to ask him? :p

To seal the deal you will have to come to the States and race it at Sonoma Raceway, Laguna Seca, and Willow Springs. Is that OK? :grinning:
