I think the bodywarmer and skid lid really don't go well with the Cowboy chaps. Give me full leather trews any day as those just look ridiculous unless you are wearing a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, fringed jacket and the chaps are decorated with silver conchos oh, and you aren't at an industrial estate in Birmingham. It's funny actually how 'thrown together' a lot of folks riding gear is compared to their bikes. I have tried to find helmets that match with my bikes and suit my tastes and I have found there is precious little 'diversity' and I don't mean that the helmets don't cater to all races and sexual proclivities! A while back I found a really nice brown version of the classic Brando style armoured jacket but does anyone (including the company who sell the jacket 'Texpeed') do a brown leather armoured trouser to match?! Not a bloody chance! Boots on the market are black race or touring style or 'Adventure'/modern trail nothing unusual or interesting in the slightest. Boring, boring, boring, boring and even the range of colours bikes are produced in is pretty bleeding boring on the whole. Black, White, silver, red or dark blue. In these days where most designs have been done to death the one aspect that could be exploited is the massive range of new and innovative finishes that can be applied but the world only gets offered, or wants boring black, white, silver or red! Why don't we just paint the whole feckin' world beige or grey! Dull, dull, dull, dull. Why should the 'rainbow' mob get to have all the bright and shiny colours? Let them have black and white and let's take back dayglo pink, turquoise blue, bright metallic apple (granny smith) green and vivid royal purple. Can you tell that my favourite style period is the Rockabilly fifties and particularly Teddy Boy style.
Hey Marty...careful with the ridiculous clothes critiques...bearing in mind that you ( and I) come from a nation of male skirt wearers.
Chaps, Chaps, calm down! The discussion is about the slightly odd proclivities of a small minority if bike / horse/ cow(??) riders. Why the general desire of some of our more northern neighbours to wear dresses and outshine any females at social gatherings has been brought up is beyond me. We'll be talking about some of our more westerly neighbours strange attraction to long green vegetables and woolly animals next. ps Isn't the right description ball bag?
Here tha goes @MartyWilson , some to match thi brown jacket, and then some in different colours. Take thi pick..... even some for work....
Dear God! Chaps are so 'camp' it's hard to believe that anyone would wear them when they are not visiting their local gay bar! I have to say that I have always thought they looked ridiculous even in cowboy movies.
I have to say that you have found something worse than chaps there @Bad Billy I'm very much a 'form follows function' kind of guy (it's why I like Triumph Bonnie's) and so those don't make any sense besides I like to give my conkers room to move.
