Following a damp, grey, misty start to the day the sun made a welcome appearance - a good chance to take the Ditch pump for a good run out.
Been trying to make the rebel fit my daughter a little better. She's pretty tall. Rolled the handlebars up and made a seat adapter. Seat adaptor gains probably 2" up and 1 1/2" back. Handlebar swing was the easiest. Seat gains were the most help. I can return the seat to factory with just a couple bolts. Handlebar adjustment made the factory mirrors not work, I had a spare aftermarket set laying around with more adjustment, but 8mm studs. Honda has 10mm threads, so a couple bolts and nuts for a quickie fit. Aftermarket mirrors are too narrow, I've got a different set of mirrors coming in the mail that should work, without my homemade adaptors.
Fitted an onboard DVR for safety photos and recording some rides. Testing shows great resolution and colour, but poor sound . Had to adjust the lens to centre the pix, so hoping they are near right. Looking forward to recording and posting some of the ride tomorrow
Never mind your TDM, give us some pics of your GT380 ( I think I saw somewhere you said you had one ? ). Oh and if you're going to the next GMU, perhaps you could take the 380 ?
That is a peach of a bike @Rocker I loved the Suzi 2 strokes that lingering smell of 2 stroke and the sound and cleaning out the silencers with caustic soda, I forgot to tighten one of the baffle bolts once and on max chat the ruddy thing shot out like an Exocet and bounced of a car, good old days.
Wow, you got some major detail in that photo of your old clutch cable, Rocker! How'd you take that one-handed?
Nothing like a beautiful retro stroker to warm your cockles. Looks good, sounds good and smells great! I saw one of these not long after they were launched and just thought, "Wow, Ram Air System, what's that!".
