So come on show us yours? What have you done to improve the performance of your bike? Which exhaust have you fitted? How have you tuned it, What were the results? Where did you get it tuned? Lets use this thread to document all the good and Bad modifications you have done to your bike....
Jim your gonna have to wait but I promise to do one... Not going to stick it on till bike is run in... Then getting ECU custom mapped..
Got this with the bike:biggrin: I think its great!!! I know power wrap isnt everybodys idea of smart, but it is mine!! I have to sort out the little dent, I have pulled it all apart, just cant quite get it looking good enough. Anyone got any ideas for the finish, what to polish/rub with. It looks brushed, but it has been used so it wouldnt hurt to make it newish again.. Tried to get in touch with arrow, but they dont seem to want to get in touch with me:frown: Thought maybe I could just buy a new sleeve, the other marks, I can polish out, its just the dent on the sleeve that is giving me grief....
Ive been told by the triumph dealer that it gives a few extra ponys, but for me it just looks the buisness. I used to have it on one of my cafe racers, I didnt notice any increase in power though.. I just like it:smile:
Apparently it can improve performance however, ive also heard stories of headers cracking when wrapped? From i can gather in the biking world its a Harley thing as apparently it looks good
My understanding is it moves the heat away from the engine so the power is gained by cooler running...
Pulle the original exhaust off, surprisingly easy. Looks strange without an exhaust.. Just after I tog this pic, the heavens opened, and it pissed down, just clearing things up I got soaked... Here she is lowboy fitted. Really like the look of this exhaust. I know power wrap isnt for every body, but I really like it.. Speedy is sitting over at the triumph dealer, if there is time the mechanic ville tune to the exhaust tomorrow, apparently it only takes a half hour. Runs really good as it is, actually feels like a different bike. I will pick her up even if he doesnt have time, a few of the lads are planning a trip, so I will have to try her out.... but she runs fantastic as it is, really open and responsive.. If I have time I will fit the tidy tail over the weekend,
Plus if its a stainless pipe it can transfer heat a lot quicker and melt things that are too close (loom, pipe work etc) keeps the heat out the back rather than close to the engine. Apparently anyway. And I agree it looks cool too!!
