Please gimme your opinion on my panniers/mounting kit. Not gonna name the brand. Not 100% convinced. More like 20%.
My thoughts exactly. Tried to return them and spoken to the manufacturer too. Very little joy. I have a good relationship with my local dealer and don’t want to jeopardise it by rocking the boat. Might break out the big hammer and hacksaw
I would recommend to change the mounting kit to a SW-Motech mounting kit if it fits to your panniers.
Blimey, they are wide I would have a right game getting my leg across them, they look almost the width of a bike and sidecar accident waiting to happen, speak to our resident Duck he will instruct you on the use of a angle grinder
Very wide indeed. I appreciate your discretion in not naming the brand. However I for one would dearly like to know ...in order to avoid a similar fate.
It’s the Shad 3P system. Saw the side view on eBay, and thought the looked ok for the money. Looked at their website, but still only a side view. Went to buy on their website, but lost the plot trying to pay for it online( payment thingy seemed to spit me out and didn’t like PayPal either) so I went to my local dealer. They are new to Shad so couldn’t comment when I bought them, but again bought on price. fitted them up, took pictures and approached Shad. Replied in broken English (they are Spanish afaik)Dealer was too impressed but as I’ve fitted them kinda washed their hands of me too. I went for the bigger pannier too (35ltr) instead of the 23ltr.
