Strange engine squeel

Is the garage a Triumph garage or a back streeter??
You say the alternator has been checked,I assume you mean for the loose bolt syndrome that affects some bikes,usually though the noise is not a squeal but a knock.I have seen in other forums that if you turn your lights on while the noise is happening and it goes away that can prove it is the bolt holding the alternator worked loose.

 

Its not the brakes is it ??

You cannot get noise from engine running at different RPM when bike stationary ???

 

could it be anything to do with final drive sprocket. when running engine with bike stationary are you engaging gears or just going through them with clutch in?

 

I can see why it is hard to locate, can you reproduce noise while riding when you want to or doe's it come up on its own accord.

 

Well that's very close compared to some of his customers from all over UK and Ireland.
about an hour away go to Melton then Grantham then along the A52 to Swineshead.
He will look after you for sure. Ask him nice and may even look at it on a evening now the longer nights are here

 

Please try this to see if you get the same noise you are hearing its worth a try, put bike in a garage if you can, turn ignition on and you should hear fuel pump run and stop(do not start engine) turn off ignition and on again run pump again and then again when the pressure reaches max line pressure the relief valve will activate to return fuel to tank it maybe that the valve on your bike has got noisy, after doing this start and run engine till normal working temperature is reached just to get rid of fuel line pressure.

 

Do you fill in an additive to your engine oil ??
