Depends on the number. 93 is loaded higher than 46.

7 qualifies for classic tho. ;)

Very interesting, DtoT. Here in the U.S. my insurance company doesn't require me to inform them of any particular mods to my bikes. They just cover any "accessories" on the bike in value up to $3,000. It's been that way for the ten years that I've been riding and insuring motorcycles. I even did a fairly major engine upgrade in my previous touring bike which increased displacement. Honest me told the agent about it and she said that didn't matter, they insured it as stock and mods/accessories were covered under the $3K deal.

No mention of shocks, one of the most common changes we make. Can't think why. As has been said before on this forum, upgrading the suspension can only improve things, including safety, but they don't seem to appreciate that. Bikesure insurance on the other hand do accept suspension upgrades.
No mention of X-pipes either, that would be an interesting one.

Even with those omissions it is good to finally have some common sense applied to modifying bikes. I’ve just gone through the laborious process of listing my subtle changes on my policy. Got bored and missed quite a few

I bet you thought after 2 years this thread was dead - not so! Do you happen to know if this list remains operative? Obviously the question should be sent to CN but thought I'd try and keep it simple.

    Hi there phillip!
Yes, I thought it was dead!
I've actually just had my renewal through for CN (£20 cheaper!) and the form wasn't provided so i'm afraid that I cant help on this.
As you say, I'd give them a call/email and see if it's still the case?
Better to be safe I suppose.
    Happy quoting!!!!

Thanks and sorry for resurrecting - on the CN site under blogs it (still from 2019) it say's everything must be declared and the list you copied isn't on the site. I imagine it's just that they haven't updated the site; my long shot was to avoid having to explain to an agent and get into a long explanation. In the end I've sent them an email which say's I've done "x" which I understand doesn't have to be formally notified - probably made myself sound as big an arse as this post does saying "I am telling you something you don't need to know" but at least it covers it all off. Thanks again

Many thanks appreciated - I have a couple of bikes one of which is with Bennetts so I knew about that list. Because of the stupid way quotes are priced I end up having to switch between the two (plus Devitts) every now and then to avoid being scalped as an existing customer. It's probably too much to hope that the insurance companies come to a consensus which would make (at least this old bloke's) life easier even if by just a tiny bit.
