Well got all my bikes back on the road except the honda which is for the bad weather. Just rushed my street triple so i could get a few runs before the weather closes in. Si i have just sprayed the belly pan and hugger with rattle cans which are not the best. But i will get them done properly next year. Regards Joe.
Thankyou MadMrB Yes i am quite happy with how it turned out. I am now toying with the idea of do i put blue or gold lines around the white wheels. Regards Joe.
I agree with @MadMrB @joe mc donald -blue stripe would look good. Looks like you have done a great job even if it is just rattle cans. Hope you manage to get a good ride or two in. Weather where I am is atrocious - cold, windy and wet
Your STriple looks absolutely lovely, Joe. The belly pan and hugger look good colour coded. If you DO succumb to the urge to put stripes on the wheels it has to be either blue or black - if blue, try to get one similar to the brake line colour. Just my 2 penn'orth. Edit ... BTW did you use the HARPIC MAX10 method to clean the exhaust downpipes?
Well peeps i do think i will run with plain white for this year and look at rim tape next year. I have been looking at a really nice TT600 and i am playing with the though of a part ex for my triple. Any thoughts would help as i have not had much to do with the TT and only ever seen them in mag's. Do tell me if you know the bike and any thoughts will be carefully considered. Regards Joe.
Your Street Triple is looking terrific, Joe! And your photography skills are on the upswing, too. I hope you're able to get in some good rides on this bike before your bad weather kicks in. I do have to say that your thread title is a bit of a bad influence on me. I'm down to two bikes since I traded my Road Glide Special and Low Rider S for the new Street Glide Special. But I'm finding myself obsessing over getting a third bike again to fill that empty space in my garage--and my motorcyclist heart. So you saying you're back to five bikes again makes having three bikes seem positively tame!
Sandi T But as my darling Tracy keeps telling me i can only ride one at a time. But have to tax insure and service five. And you have the cool of Harley and speedy to keep it company. These days I can only dream of Harley's. I am now keeping the street thanks to my boy making me see sense. Still got a few jobs I want to repair that i mess up a little but i will get there over the winter months. You And Steve have terrific machines and of course the Mustang who could want for more of perfect. Joe O'h thanks for the photography comment as i do try.
Yes, when I'm combing the MC sites and YouTube reviews at night I try to remember that another bike in the garage isn't just the initial cost but also insurance, registration, maintenance, tires, etc. And I do now have that Mutang in the garage too. But the pull of a third bike is S-T-R-O-N-G! I'm glad your boy helped you see the light on the Street. It's a beautiful machine, Joe. Yes, you can only ride one at a time. But if that was the primary argument for how many bikes to own, we'd all only have one! Unless maybe you can do this....
I agree with Adie P, blue rim tape to match the brake lines would really pop. The bike looks so good now, though, it would be just fine to have none at all.
Sandi T Well i won't be trying that anytime soon. I will take it one bike at a time. Lovely to see you back with us. Joe
JTC Yes i have decided to keep them all white for now till next year then look at the situation again. Thanks Joe.
Vulpes. Thankyou so very much. Same colour as yours and I like it. Sometimes I even get the nerve to open it up a little bit. But boy can they go. Silly old fool like me should not be allowed to ride bikes like it. Regards Joe.
