Just a Heads up: My T120 is approaching 20k and needs it's second tyre change. So I decided to follow everyone else and swap from the Phantoms to the Avon Storm 3D-XM, something I've been looking forward to for 18 months (they were unobtainable in a hurry when I last changed rubber) I've spoken to 2 dealers and both told me the Storm is discontinued, each told me a different "replacement" they'd been recommended by their supplier. Neither show availability in the size required for the T120 front. Gossip on the "other" forum across the pond suggests that Avon may be bringing the Storm back but that may be wishful thinking or only apply to the USA.
I needed a new rear on my t100 while it was in for service.Told them to change front as well even though it had a fare bit left. They got the rear storm ok but said no front storms in the country.
They are still available from many websites. https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/motorb...jjO7lOadt6kADPIm3h11gv85NTf4ZNS8aAunMEALw_wcB
Avon have uprated the Storm and now call it the Spirit, they're virtually identical with just a minor change in tread pattern. I've had Storms on my Bonneville and now have Spirits, both are excellent and a huge improvement over the dreadful Pirrelli's.
Just scrubbed in Avon Spirit on the front of my T120 def feels better in the wet than the Phantom. After the arse end slipped twice in one journey its time to replace the rear Phantom. Shame coz it's still got over 2mm tread on it.
