The gearbox is as noisy as an old Leyland bus on the over run. I am told that the straight cut gears are the cause. Incredible, that a British company, would relaunched itself, with such an agricultural bit of machinery.

That Kettle belongs to a short arsed, arrogant little cunt. Mate of my brothers. He just happened to need a chainguard bracket welding on today. Tidy old tool though. 2018-06-06 20.14.11.jpg

I normally carry a few cold beers, and enough steaks for a shindig. That can get interesting.

I believe mine is a Trident, with Daytona side panels, and seat. But not sure. I bought it because it just triggered me off mate. And i been having a grin on it for the last 2 weeks.

Many things have been on that trailer. Which is what i will miss with the Triumph. That old tool was my workhorse, and it took me over 88,000 miles, mostly with a load on it. If this triumph can do that, with no trailer, i will be happy.

    Welcome, Mick.

I am going to be selling the trailer next summer. It has a 120ah leisure battery to power the the laptop sounds & lights, remote shower. With internal/external sockets. A plumbed in gas line, with external plug for the cooker/bbq at the back. Various water containers for the shower, sink ect. It fits inside a once only used, 3m x 3m Gazebo, and comes with a full camping kit. Just bring your own towels, because this thing has everything else. Including a fridge, bed/settee, and a portable shitter.

I reckon i am going to have to get used to it mate. Not many ways of carrying an inconspicuous load on the Triumph. Yet :)

Hi Mick, and welcome to the forum
Hope you are well - good to see you've got yourself a Triumph.
I recognised your Vulcan from previous DGR's! :)

    Hi Again Mick,
You will have no trouble towing with the Triumph I have had a towbar on mine since about 2 months after I bought the first one in 93.
A word of caution though the regulations about trailers on bikes is fairly straightforward,
Weight of bike and trailer must be displayed on both.
Max weight of trailer loaded, 150 Kg,= 400 lbs or 2/3 weight of bike which ever is lower,
( I have often broken this one but like a lot of regs only a problem if you make a mistake and get caught)
    Max width one meter
Max length 2.5 metres from bike back axel to rear of trailer
Speed limit 60 mph dual carriageways and motorways.
I have never been stopped by the law while towing ( probably because the paperwork would be more than a work shift would allow!)
I find that getting the braking done before corners as the load tends to make you run wide if you brake in the bend.
Some weight on the towball is good but not too much.
This is no tto tell you how to do things but for other forumites who may like to try trailering

Thank you for the input mate. But you might have noticed that i am not a novice. And i would'nt fancy your chances, of towing my trailer with your bike, AT ALL. In fact, i would'nt even think about it.. The fucking thing gave me some hairy moments, with a bike almost twice the weight of yours. Here are just a couple of things that i had on it.
