No special tools needed mate :)
Biggest problem with callipers is corrosion
The seals get corroded behind ie corrosion in the callipers not the pistons
This forces the seal hard against the pistons causing stuck on brakes as the pistons don’t return when you release the brake :(
The sliding part on these type of callipers can also cause brake drag again caused by corrosion
One of the sliders slides in the calliper directly with a rubber boot for protection :)
This can get metal corrosion if not serviced regularly :(
The other slider slides in a rubber tube
This is the one that usually causes the most bother
Again corrosion in the calliper hole where it lives causes the problem forcing the rubber to tightly grip the slider pin :(
Only advice I would give on older well used bikes is don’t wait until you’ve got a problem with your brakes as it could cost you expensive discs as well

I’ve got a gallon of traffic film remover :)
Dunno what brand but I know from experience that it’s quite strong :)
Made a little bath with a Tupperware box what I pinched out of the kitchen when wor lass wasn’t looking :imp:
Dropped all the bits in (not the rubber bits) and used an old toothbrush to get all the crud off :)
Then washed in HOT water to remove the TFR and dried them out :)
Rebuilt with red rubber grease and copperslip in all the right places :)

The slash cut drag pipes from British Customs? I have them on my 900 and they are just loud enough with a good roar like a diving Spitfire when you get on it.

Well, I’ve used the standard pipes, bc predators, arrows 2-1 with and without baffle, not used the TORs yet, on my 900, but by far the preds have the best sound. Don’t forget you’ll probably need a remap for whatever you get.
