Popped in to Jem Speed today. I know there are some negative reviews but I wasn’t buying, just taking a gander. Lots of nice looking bikes there. Whether they run properly, who knows.

Love all those great photos, @Octoberon, especially the first one with the black & white photo Steve McQueen collage in the background. Jem Speed looks like a cool place to hang out with motorcycles and motorcycle folk. :)

Great photos mate, I have heard that these guys get some bad reviews but I bought my speedmaster from them a few years ago, they were very professional and I felt that I got a good deal. No complaints from me.

Last few. Not sure why some get rotated. Maybe something to do with reducing the image size.

I don't think I remember Suzuki making a rotary engined bike at all. It was a real surprise to see it there. No Nortons on show, sadly

I wonder whether times will get a bit tighter as the economic effect of Covid-19 bites harder, giving more of an opportunity to haggle them down a bit. Caveat emptor when it comes to purchasing but as the phots show, there are a lot of nice looking bikes for sale. Even the FS1E's looked smart.

Thanks Sandi. Nothng say 'biker cool' like Steve McQueen. The whole place, including the diner upstairs, has quite an American feel to it, I think. If you're ever in this part of the world check it out. :)

What's with the blue thing with two sliders on the front? Is it some kind of trike? Looks really unruly.

It's always enjoyable to browse around this kind of machinery.

The Rotary was out at the same time as the early Kettle, what put people off was the story's of rotor tip failures on all rotary bikes no matter the make, and the kettle went like stink as did the other GT models 550 and 380.
Around the same time was another Rotary the Dutch Van Veen an awesome package that never sold well but I wish a had one in my garage now they would be worth a few bob.

Yeah, that would be something a bit different. I've obviously got some gaps in my bike knowledge as I haven't heard of the Van Veen either. I'm sure I could find a bit of space for one in the garage. I mean, who doesn't like a Wankel? :D

I wonder who would pay that for a bike?

You mean the Yamaha Niken? It's got two front wheels and apparently feels like a normal bike but with a really planted front end. Not ridden one myself. A bit like the old BMW C1, it's a hard concept to love.

If I had a healthy seven figure sum in the bank I could be tempted.

I'm an impulse buyer at the best of times. Give me an enormous bank balance and goodness knows what could end up in the garage. :)

Don’t forget the Norton Rotary which came in a few guises.
