I had to disconnect my battery on the 1200 XE today and the service interval has changed to today's klms, but the service date has stayed the same for August next year. This shows the Service Spanner on the dash.
I have tried resetting it via the dash but no luck.
Does it have to be done by the Dealer?
Or do I have to buy Dealer Tool to change it myself.

Okay, looks like the dealer has to do it as I don't have Dealer Tool. The dealer said no worries and won't cost anything.

Not that I could have offered any useful advice but glad your dealership is helpful and will sort the reset for you free... helpful dealers mean happy returning customers

Did you re-set the correct date and time after reconnecting the battery? That fixed mine.

Correction, I thought I had put in the correct date but I had 2019 in there.
Thanks Tony, all fixed up now.
Put it down to my stupidity.
