Thanks mate, was a great day apart from the high winds which disrupted bike balance at times, but all good learning.

Did you get any lap times? I did Donington a few years ago and I was provided with a transponder and was emailed later with my lap times. It was nothing to write home about, GP circuit at about 2.00, 2.10 I think, but I did manage several laps within a couple of seconds of each other. I was on a Vtec 800 on touring tyres and it was a very hot day an Ethernet tyres were squirming around towards the end of each session. The saying about Craner Curves was always in my mind. (For those who don’t know it’s “there are riders who have crashed at Craner, and there are riders who are going to crash at Craner”)

    Hi Mate,

No laps times, we didn’t get provided transponders or anything. However, I was in the Intermediate group and making good progress throughout the day. I feel I was faster there in 2018 on my previous Gen 3 S1000RR as the weather was perfect that day, whereas the gales made me hold back a little this time on certain bends due to the cross winds, especially around Craner Curves and Coppice.

Not nearly as fun and exciting as a track day (can you tell I'm jealous?), but we installed some nerf bars on the side of the Wrangler Saturday . . .

Fettling and whittling with bar riser rake for comfort and clutch cable comfort. After about an hour the handlebars look to be in the pre fettled position but at least I have given the Allen keys some patina. Too windy to ride (63 mph gusts in the Mumbles) - not a hurricane but pretty uncomfortable.

I was shocked myself, Wessa. I just ran it through the car wash -too lazy to do it myself.

4X4's should have expedition dirt on them @JtC and not that spray on mud that the poser brigade use to give them street cred

Thanks, @littleade! I do like pretty bikes. But I REALLY like bad-a*s bikes best. ;)

I have a woman riding buddy who often will admire bikes by calling them “cute”. I told her I don’t know any bikers who would appreciate hearing their motorcycle described as “cute”. She just can’t quite understand why not. :joy:

First ride of the year with Ms S on the back so out on the GS today.

Cuppa, cake and saw a couple of alpacas really having a rumble!

Ms S, who is better at reading animals than me, reckons they've introduced a new youngster to the pack and he was trying to establish his place in the hierarchy.

Surprised some of the kids and parents watching!

    Lovely ride :)

Nice reviews @Wessa I watched this:

As always long winded but he had some very good things to say about his interceptor especially engine breaking.
