What you mean wire spoke wheels.

 

Hi Sam, there's a number of different manufactures of wire spoked wheels in addition to Triumph, but first do you want wire spoke ones that will take tubeless or tubed tyres? There is a fundamental difference in price and design.

 

OK Sam, but do you want wire spoked wheels that permit the fitment of tubeless tyres or are you happy to have tubed tyres?

The wheels that permit tubeless tyres are designed differently and are a lot more expensive.

 

Now that's the thing Sam. The wire wheels that are standard with Bonnevilles are always for TUBED tyres,that's why I've been labouring this question.

If you want to run tubeless tyres you'll need to get wheels specially prepared for them. Examples are Alpina, Boroni, Devon Wheel Company etc etc

Usually there's no change from £1000 for tubeless and I may be underestimating that!!

 

That's a deposit on a new Thruxton with wire wheels on it

 

Sam-there is also Hagon (google Hagon and click either the shocks or wheel link and it will route you there) they rebuilt my Harley wheels and did a far better job than HD did! They also offer a tubeless build option on their price list. They are close to me and i wouldn't hesitate to use them for any wheel or shock builds.
