(It’s not completely clear to me where Speed Twin chat belongs, so my apologies of I’m posting in the wrong place!)

Most Speed Twin mirrors I’ve seen on the interwebs are set up opposite from mine, meaning the wide part of the mirror is outboard. I’ve tried flipping them around, but I feel I have better peripheral vision with the narrow side outboard, as in the pic.
Anybody else give this any thought, or do I just have too much time to think about trivial crap??

Whatever works for you. Mirrors are functional with fashion secondary.

I like the look of the mirrors with the wider part outside, but I definitely feel like I have better vision with them with the wider part inside (as in your picture). So I’ve left mine in the pictured config.

I think you are only going to find inner peace if you buy some round ones.:relieved:

The triumph ones look rubbish but turns out they are not.

(your pic is how I would run mine. Wide Inside Loyal!)

i flipped mine from original position as it makes the bars narrower and better for filtering

The handlebar ones look good but are a pain when filtering and don't give as good a visibility as clamp mounted mirrors.
    Form over function...
Thinking about swapping mine on the RS at some point.

Mine would drive an indecisive person crazy. The head will rotate 360°. The arm is adjustible from folded up under the bar to folded over the bar and all points in between...AHRGG… TOO MANY DECISIONS :) …J.D.

I agree with others that say do what works for you. Function over form, fortunately we Triumph riders usually enjoy both!:p

I fitted round ones as I didn’t want people continually coming up and pointing out I had the mirrors the wrong way round.

They work great but don’t like the look of bar end mirrors

Large part inside is the main part of the view, with small part for peripheral (outside lane or kerb) vision

That's made me think. I had to go a check my mirrors to confirm which way round there are. The widest end is towards the outside but either way I don't get the rear view I would like. I've stuck extenders on which makes a big difference. By the way, I ride a Bonne T120, 2019.

I have mine fat part in but there is a blind spot almost alongside, gave me a scary moment playing with traffic at Bristol. All I could see with the stock mirrors was my shoulders.
