Guys.. I bought a Monokey Fitting kit off eBay and it arrived with 4 spacers missing and a few other fixings. I have the sizes but unable to buy said spacers in the size required. Is anyone able to spin a couple of each size please. Happy to pay of course. M8 hole in middle, outside 16mm, length 40mm. two please. M8 hole in middle, outside 18mm, length 20mm. two please. Thanks for your help, or if anyone has any ideas of how to get around this? Regards Andy
If nobody on here can help just rock up to a local small engineering joint and ask (look helpless). My local guy is really helpful. I have dropped off the odd pack of Birra Moretti or whatever it's called and a bag of Dorito's to keep him sweet.
Failing that try "thelatheman" https://www.thelatheman.com/contact-me He'll make things like this to spec'd size and out of stainless (if required). Maybe not the cheapest but not madly expensive and his work is excellent. I got some small spacers made up to enable me to fit the factory version engine case guards on a Gen 1 Street Triple 675 and the product was perfect with a fairly reasonable turnround time.
Just do a search for M8 spacers on eBay, there are loads of suppliers, available in aluminium or stainless.
Hi MrB, thanks for your post. I did manage to find one of the sizes which was the 16x40mm I am struggling with the 18mm dia x 20mm length. I have a plan but if that don’t work out I’ve just had a very kind offer which I might have to take up.
