Anyone catch the first round from donnington yesterday? Irwin's kamakazi move on brookes has him disqualified from the last race and 6 penalty points means he's starting from the back at snettterton next outing. Pleased Bridewell got a result in the last race

Rory Skinner in the supersport race was back in his caravan by the time the rest finished! :yum One for the future that lad.

Most definitely! I don't mind knowing who won, I just love to watch them go at it.

I think the penalty is way too harsh TBH. Irwin had so much more drive out of the bend and was all but level with Brooks at the time he went down. I think Brooks hadn't seen him and over-reacted when he did. Anyway, what I think is irrelevant I guess, people, much more experienced than me, thought otherwise.

I take your point mate but his aggression is uncontrolled. They’re all a bit bat shit crazy, they have to be to do it I guess! I’ddon, o’halloran , brookes and bridewell can all dish it out but don’t take people out quite so often. Last season he did redding twice and Hickman too. Smoke and fire etc.

Hickman -one of my favorite riders to watch at the moment. I watched him at the Isle of Mann TT and he was amazing. Well, they all are, but he was a tick above the rest in my opinion. Those guys have big brass ones.

Irwin is going to get it served to him hard and cold. And deserved as well. It is dangerous enough what those boys are doing without a little prick doing dirty moves like he has the few past seasons.

Agree mate, but I have yet to watch last weekends races, I have them recorded so will see what the fuss is about. ;)
I watched the Moto GP recording last night & Zarco had a ride round penalty for taking the KTM of Espargaro' out, but to be fair that was a racing incident IMHO.
It isn't nice being taken out by another rider, but all racers know this can & does happen! :scream:

Not the most professional response from Redding, whatever the reason.

It wasn’t the first time Irwin had done it to him so I guess Scott was just getting slightly miffed by his behaviour. :p

Zarco was class around the long lap.... knee down on a 3ft wide hairpin on dust ! And as for Binder ... WOW. It’s a shame to say it but Marquez going out has livened up the MotoGP world.

I finally got to see the highlights on YT. I didn't know what they meant by "long lap", but when they showed him doing that I was amazed at the skill (and courage). I agree, racing is much better when one person isn't 5 seconds ahead of everyone else.

Brooks early in his BSB career made more reckless moves than the Irwin/Brooks one, those of us that can remember the "fireball" he caused in a reckless move in BSB was a shock among others he caused. It's difficult racing and a lot comes into play, the racers instinct is to go for it when an opportunity opens up, had Brooks not been taken out it's likely we would hear commentators say "what a great move". Different camera angles show things slightly different. Look at last weekends Moto GP, that could have had life changing consequences, especially for Valentino and Vinalles, what sanctions took place later?.

Some good racing from snetterton yesterday. Maiden win for iddon, brookes and glen irwin with a mighty ride in the last race. Bridewell on the podium each time was pleasing. Andy irwin took 2 riders out in 2 separate crashes in 2 races. Quite an achievement.

very impressed with kyle Ryde's double at silverstone yesterday. Seems to have more confidence in the front tyre than anyone else.

Alex Olson who was badly clattered in saturdays qualifying has been confirmed as having a broken pelvis and internal bleeding which is now under control. He is being monitered for possible vertebrae injuries too. Looked nasty, hope he recovers well but I suspect thats it for this season poor lad.
