Ok, not really sure how that's relevant mate (the hipster bit I mean). Just found it on Facebook and thought I would share in case anyone's interested, all details as per the original post I have no vested interest or even know the bloke so all questions will have to go through the original poster

The bike looks quite nice but personally I'd never buy a "butchered" bike unless I was paying peanuts. You could be buying into a shitload of trouble.

Just out of interest, if any of the cafe racer expert are reading - Why would you lengthen the swingarm to 'cafe racer' a Bonnie? Would you not want to shorten the wheelbase and heighten the suspension just like Triumph did themselves?

To me a lot of people that modify a bike nowadays haven’t got a clue what an original cafe racer looks like.
They’ve heard the name and adopt it to any bike that they’ve modified possibly because they think it’s the in word down at the cafe.
Lengthening the swinging arm of a cafe racer would definitely be a no no.

Can you see the resemblance between the proper cafe racer below and the make believe copy in the above advert,,,,,they’ve both got 2 wheels

Spot on Dave. A cafe racer was an alloy tank, a single seat with a hump and a set of clip ons. That's just about it.

You missed out bacon slicers; swept backs (preferably with 'Goldie' meggas), rearsets and raised clocks!:D

Just done a DVLA check to see if OWM 485 is still around and to my amazement it’s on sorn.

I would love to find out where it is and have a chat with the owner.

    Cheers mate
She was built with the proper stuff
All alloy bodywork, Borrani rims, the rarer 7 inch yolks with roadholder legs
Some say they prefer a pre unit 650 in a Triton but I prefer the T140 750 Bonnie engine which is running a four speed box and good for a ton plus when feeling brave :)

Mine had a Pre unit 6Tc engine with the slick shift gearbox :)

High comp pistons and E3134 cams .

If you got up to around 3 figures on the speedo you suddenly started to seeing two of everything with the vibration
But being just 17 years old you put it to the back of your mind and got on with it :worried:
