So whats the deal with the godforsaken airbox on this bike? Has anyone had good results with individual pod filters and eliminating the airbox? Has the mikuni carbs so oval intake, guessing I need a 62mm diameter filter... Also, looks like a previous owner swapped the far right carb (hex screw vs.phillips). On teardown the "new" carb needle clip is at clip 4 (richest), all the others at 3, hmm...Can anyone give me advice on pilot jet, main jet, needle clip settings on this bike if I keep stock exhaust with individual air filters. Thanks in advance, many more questions to follow

My 93 Trophy has had a K&N conversion into the standard airbox which I modified as it was a pain to take apart to clean.
The problem was the one piece inlet part that wraps round the frame tube so I cut in in half down the middle so that I can take the inlet halves off and remove and clean the filter.
Hope this helps. PS check the needles for wear near the clip as I had one cut through and that caused a misfire!!

There should be no reason to change the needle position from std with the std air-box and exhaust all i can think of is that that carb has a badly worn slide and the needle position was changed to compensate which it wont very well as needle position will only effect 1/3 to 2/3 throttle.
Sorry cant help with the std setting and jet sizes.
