Born in Bradford, lived in Manchester and Devon and moved to Hampshire in 1984. Live just north of Winchester.
used to work at Denso Marston (opposite the Halfway Inn) or Marston Radiators as it was then. Even though I've been here in Holland almost 20 years I've still kept my Leeds accent.
A woman was telling her mate that her son's hamster had just died an she was going to throw it away in the dust bin. "Don't do that" her mate replied, "I've got a recipe that you can use to make jam from it. I'll get it for you", which she did. Having made the jam and allowed it to cool, the woman tasted it. It was awful, so she chucked it out onto the garden. A few days later, a bunch of daffodils had suddenly grown where she threw the jam. So she told her mate. "Yes, it isn't very tasty" she agreed. "But it is unusual to get daffodils growing where the jam landed. Normally you get tulips from hamster jam!" Sorry .... hat .... coat!
Sorry ... just passing some of my wealth of knowledge. It may be rubbish, but it's high class rubbish ... allegedly ... or not! You choose!
