    OMG it looks like returning from Spain will require self isolation for two weeks. Northern Spain is seeing increases in the virus

    I've read on the BBC website that Zaragoza is a current hotspot. We may need to change I plans a little bit, but as I said earlier, there are still eight weeks to go. Should we avoid Zaragoza anyway and change our plans now ?

    Not sure if you're aware but FCO advice has been changed to advise no unnecessary travel to Spain as well, so Travel insurance will be redundant.
    Hopefully it'll change again before September.

    Yep your right Martin.

    I rang my travel insurance a few weeks ago and they told me that if I travel abroad to a country that the goverment (FCO) are advising against traveling to then my travel insurance wouldn’t be valid for that country.

    The FCO guidelines and the insurance situation is likely to kill the trip. As Andy says there is eight week until we travel, so a lot can change in that time. I'm still hopeful :)

    Well I suppose, if it happens again when we’re out there, given enough notice, we could always make a run for France over the hills and return home from there!
