https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escape_to_Athena Watched Escape to Athena, "Yes" I know its cheesy but I do like the Motorcycle and Motorbike & sidecar chase and besides Claudia Cardinale & Stefanie Powers where well worth a squirt in the day
I dig that movie too, but I haven't seen it in forever. I need to correct that. I just watched Snatch for about the 50th time. As you can tell, also one of my favorites.
Agree. That movie is almost like it is just the introduction or forward of a novel, if you know what I mean. Very slow rolling. The end seems like it should have been the beginning.
Watched "come and see" last night, a 1985 Russian film (and you can tell) about a boy who finds a rifle and goes off and joins the local militia to fight the Germans in 1943 Belarus. The actors/acting is abysmal but there was something about it which kept me watching. Then at the end I thought "why did I watch all that" ? It's basically propaganda to show just how barbaric the SS were.
@Steve Hill, give 'Warrior Nun' on Netflix a shot... It popped up in our 'try this' list the other night. Its quite good, demons, science, and chop schlocky.
Reminds me of one we watched called "Nude Nuns With Big Guns", haha. Such a cheesy, low budget B movie that it was actually fun to watch.
To be honest, nuns scare me..... There was a convent school in the town my school was in. Used to see the penguins out and about. A more vicious evil looking bunch you never did see. I swear they levitated... Like Mother Superior in the Blues Brothers. Our school was 'at war' with the Sacred Heart school....
Greyhound is on our short list, Lou. We'll probably watch it in the next several days. Last night we watched Jumanji: The Next Level. I found it entertaining and fun with some good laughs. It was a nice simple escape during the seriousness of 2020.
6 Days - Based on the Iranian Embassy siege and storming by the SAS. From the days when we knew how to deal with terrorists... opposed to now when we are just told to sing don't look back in anger
One for @Duckadiledundee as its got Charlize Theron in it.. Old Guard. Immortals, more or less. Lots of punchy punchy shooty shooty, ends on a kind of 'there will be a follow up' kind of vibe. It was reasonable, watched it all the way through anyway. Always a selling point for me.
Mr. Sandi and I just watched this last night. We managed to watch it through to the end, too. But my first words in response to Mr. Sandi asking me what I thought of it were, "I'm glad we watched it for free".
