Yes, a sad day in some respects but the right (if difficult) decision was made for sure.
Look forward to that new Tiger mate - you'll love it! :):)

Is that the Trekker luggage option?
Think I might go for the top box but not the panniers this time. (Just waiting for @Tiglet to chip in here)!

Little me,,,,,,you should know better @steve lovatt I keep myself to myself especially where bike accessories are concerned including panniers ;);)

Except for when we were in Germany and on a days rideout with my top box fullish,my bestist mate let me put some of my gear in his HUGE panniers when we stopped for sightseeing/lunch. Those panniers were the best thing since sliced bread at that moment :p;):)

I have been a bit busy, and just seen this news - I'd have expected to see it on the BBC, but they must have missed it.

Well done Dilli, the right call if it's right for you. I love the idea of the Rocket - but I know, I just know, that lighter bikes are more fun than bloody great heavy ones. The Speedmaster is in for a service today - they have given me a Yamaha MT09 for the day. 115HP, 185Kg of weight - it's not for me, but its fun, and it reminded me, if I needed it, that bikes can be just too unwieldy.

The Speedmaster is as heavy as I'm going!

    Hi Ken,
we pay the MwSt/USt (ususally 19%) again and again if we buy (used or new) from a certified/official dealer...
Are the regulations different in the UK?

The subtle difference is that VAT is not shown on the ticket price of a UK used vehicle but a dealer (not private seller) pays VAT on their profit (mehr wert!) element.
