    Yea found a clean 72 Daytona,the only bike I ever owned was a 69 trophy.Loved it dont know much about the newer ones.

    Very little differences in 500 unit engines reliability wise, midway they dumped the distributor for cam driven points and in 69 they had a ball bearing on the timing side of crank, two good upgrades. First gear is still soft and most of the other changes did little or nothing for reliability.
