Maybe not very positive but definitely thought provoking, one of the boat sheds at Herculaneum

The Netherlands have been doing this for many years and are masters of it, I wonder @Vulpes has there been a map drawn up for possible Global warming and tidal increase?

There has been a map drawn up,and we are busy reinforcing dikes and dams already.

The Dutch waterworks business is a huge one - the protection of New Orleans after Katrina was realised by Dutch companies, for instance. Our knowledge is being exported all over the globe. It's a 21 billion p/a industry, providing 86.000 people with a job.

We planned a week of touring the Delta Werks and other civil engineering in the Netherlands a couple of years ago. We entered from Belgium and rode up the North Sea coast to the Afluitsdijk, across to Enkhuizen and into Lelystadt. You guys know how to control water!

We have to, mate. Apparently there's a 1 in 100.000 chance we drown!

Nice! I don't own a 1911 but definitely see one in my future -just for the occasional shoot in the woods or at the range. I know some skinny guys who carry them but as a, um, stocky fella, I find them too bulky for my waist band.
