With all the mass gatherings, parties, football fans and beach goers, quite frankly it’s out of WHOs and our Government’s hands. The biology hasn’t changed, the methods of transmission haven’t changed... looks like we all just have to grit our teeth and hope for herd immunity.
I pity the poor nursing staff. How they will keep going I don’t know. They were in the unknown in the first faze but this time they will know what faces them. They must look at these scenes in utter disbelief. The amazing capability of the brain is wasted on a huge quantity of the human race.
I rest my fkn case Liverpool fans flock to Anfield to celebrate Premier League title https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-53187158
I live just up the coast from Bournemouth, the whole area was gridlocked yesterday & the day before with people making their way to the beach in the early part of the day & then coming back in the evening . On the local news last night Bournemouth council had declared am emergency as their staff & local Police could not cope with the sheer volume of people trying to park & then get onto the beach . Am I right in thinking that changes to lockdown & social distancing don't actually change until July 4th?
I wonder how many of the idiotic none caring types that have over the last few days packed beaches, went to LFC celebrations, attended house and street parties in London/Manchester and attended raves through out the country were just a few weeks ago clapping for NHS workers etc.
Its almost getting to the stage of mob rule, law and order is rebuffed with we will do as we please attitude, trouble ahead methinks
Mmmm, looks like you use the handrail on the left when ascending, but coming down you would have to keep to the right if you wanted (Needed) to use the handrail. This always assuming you’re a thin person. Ken.
If these selfish fuckers on the beach don’t mind being so close to people they should get their asses back to work!
Ha, ha! Mate how very true, and if they are prepared to let the kids go on a crowded beach but then say it's too dangerous to send them to school. On local news I heard some daft non local girl justify being on Bournemouth beach by saying that people are prepared to go to the supermarket & suffer crowds so what's the difference! Necessity is the answer my dim witted friend, you need the bloody food from the supermarket, but last time I checked you aren't gonna starve if you don't go to the beach!
Thanks, Ken, but Mr. Sandi and I are aiming for the 2021 GMU now. Especially after reading a lot of the recent posts in this thread!
I think you're right Don, and the authorities have brought it on themselves by choosing not to act on some other politically sensitive events. The media are such hypocrites, they are appalled and disgusted by people (legally) going to the beach (even if they may be idiots), but those same media organisations two weeks ago were applauding and supporting this illegal activity: Funny how there was little concern in the MSM about a second wave being caused by this
Looks like 6th July we can travel to Spain without having to quarantine on return to the UK. The odds of the trip going ahead increase....
Unless we're in a second lock down by then brought about by this increasingly stupid behaviour - and the pubs aren't even open yet!
Well have to agree mate. Mindless idiots putting the last few months efforts by the many at risk.. Trouble is they cannot arrest them all, so they know there is no real punishment
