So yesterday I mentioned in my introduction that I just bought my second bike. A new street twin. I still own my first bike. A 2018 Suzuki tu250. Took it out for a ride and began to wonder what other Triumph owners first bike was. I would like to hear from you folks. And of course any photos would be great.

Welcome to the family. The first bike topic has been done on here if you look for the topic. That Suzi of yours looks pretty good you have looked after it well. Looks a real nice area around there.
    Regards & Ride Safe.

My first bike was a 50cc Honda C100 back in 1964. I can remember running out of fuel with it once and costing all of 3/6d to fill up. That's 17.5p in today's money!

    Sorry but I haven't got a photo!!

I bought this little chap (not this exact one) for the same price as 3 months rail travel between Coventry and Leamington when doing a City&Guilds course, do they do have those?

Billy what a cool little bike!
Joe I searched using the key word's first bike. Must have missed it.
Without listing them all I'll just say that as I expected you guys had or still have great taste in bikes.

I was a late-comer to the biking party. While I've always liked bikes I never owned or rode one until I got divorced in 1999 when I did my direct access and got a lovely black/grey/silver Honda CBR600fv.

Love the colours on that Suzuki, Lou. Really smart. Before Suzuki went mental with the graphics in the 90's!

FWIW, paid my dues on a Kawasaki KDX125SR.

Paid my dues as in, learning how to stop the chain falling off the back sprocket, checking bolts so bodywork and bits don't fall off. Keeping at least one foot on the pegs when doing a wheelie.Getting my collar felt every other week by the local constabulary and many other tales of yoof-ful woe. Happy days!

    That was my second bike.

The first, a Ducati 200 single I bought just before my 16th birthday. Taught myself to ride it while waiting for my license to arrive. No such thing as a CBT back then. Whack a pair of L plates on and off you legally go. Fatality rate among young riders was horrific.

    Like this one?

I had the earlier RD200B with the tear drop tank and the twin leading shoe drum front brake. The first photo is one I bought a couple of years ago. The 2nd photo isn't my actual bike but very similar.
