I ordered some brake pads on line two weeks ago, from World of Triumph. I received them very quickly however they sent the wrong item. They did agree to a replace them for the correct item, however they point blank refused to send them until they got their mistake pads back. I accept that mistakes can happen and said I would return them, but asked if they could send the correct item, which I had paid for, straight away as my bike was in bits at this stage. Again they refused. It all got a bit heated then, they said that again they would not send my pads till they got the other set back.
Hi Mic, welcome to the forum. Shame Triumph won't play ball - hope you get it sorted. What bike have you got?
Sorry to hear that Mic, it's a bit frustrating isn't it? Sorry forget to say Welcome in to the Triumph Playground - ENJOY !!!
Cheers Steve, I contacted Triumph customer services, who were very helpful. They also contacted the dealer and got the same answer. I think they were as surprised and disappointed as I was. I have a 2012 Explorer
Cheers It is very frustrating, Triumph have done so much to create some great products, but people Like this push them back and the likes of BMW forward.
Unfortunately I have to agree with you Mic - when I had a number of BM bikes the quality of service I got from the dealer was absolutely perfick. Still won't be buying another tho' - Wollastons in Northampton were the exception rather than the rule.
Hi. Sounds like they must of had their fingers burned in the past. I sometimes think, its the thieves and blaggers that the rules are made for, and the rest of us have to suffer, at the hands of their victims and their trying not to let it happen again. Is this evolution! Thank you Jesus.
They have managed to produce a quality product to rival the old men of the bike world. Well done Sir Bloor.
Squaredeals, a smaller outfit and independent, sent me something that was faulty, I phoned them, they had a new part to me next day didn't even ask to see faulty part, which I sent back to them anyway. Loverly bunch!
I concur with the above posts .... both of 'em!!! And yes, I did that meself not long since! Squaredeals are good to deal with!
I've recently been using Fowlers and they are superb - next day delivery - parts catalogue on line so you can order via part number. Really professional.
You phone Jack Lilley. Give them your Vin # and it arrives next day Simples. I hate WoT!!!! If I want part numbers I use fowlers web site.
As annoying as it is, not many retailers of anything will not send replacement goods who's ever fault it is a customer gets the wrong item, too many don't get the parts back in the past and loose out, I can understand this, but to have to pay return postage when its obviously the retailers fault or faulty goods REALLY pisses me off! If I order wrong fair enough, they send wrong faulty THEY should pay for their mistake! I knew some one who worked for a dealers (NOT Triumph) who deliberately sent the wrong parts or size if clothing if out of stock to get time for a delivery to arrive rather than loose a sale, that gave then another week to get the part.
Yep, your right there El crispo..... I ordered a EBC front disc from Squaredeals, it arrived with a tiny scratch on it. A quick phone call & a little while later (few weeks as it was Christmas) & I did a straight swop with the parcel guy on my doorstep to save on postage etc,etc....very good to deal with.
They obviously are not valuing you as a customer and have made 3 mistakes ,1 sending the wrong item, 2 not trusting you ( a bad footing to start out with) and 3 receiving a bad review on here. There are plenty of other suppliers who would offer a better service, I ran my own business and later worked in retail - it was not something I would do unless I,d had a previous issue with the customer.
