Really enjoyed his material Jez. Shame he had to keep on with the bad language cause he would have still been funny without that.... which is not true of all comedians
I didn't have too much trouble understanding him. Most of his stuff is funny. I had never heard of Billy Connolly until I saw him in The Boondock Saints. Then I watched some of his standup. Hilarious stuff.
Each to their own mate. IMO comedians that have to constantly use swearing in their act (which don't get me wrong can be very funny) eventually becomes a real turn off.
As DD said the other day, its funny to take the piss out of stereotypes. Within Scotland, it's people from Aberdeen who are said to be tight, although I'm sure that's not true. Whereas everyone in Scotland knows that Cumbrians are all sheepshaggers. I'm sure that's not true either. Well, fairly sure....
Actually, Jez, your details don't say where you come from yourself. Are you hiding something? We stereotypers need to know...
Cumbria wasn’t invented when I was born... it’s too modern for the sheepshaggers to traditionally come from here! It’s much more traditional to label another part of the UK with such a monicker... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheep_shagger
Trouble is Dave there is a fare number of sheepshaggers in Scotland usually in the Banjo playing areas, that's how the Rolling stones got the inspiration for one of their songs from a heard comment, "HAY McCLOUD GET OFF MY YEW"
