Hi i would like a exhaust upgrade on a 2013 speedy but can't decide what to go for and i don't know the difference between TORS and HI FLOW can anybody help a newbie please
Ive got long slash cut TORS (Triumph Off Road) exhausts on mine & personally i think they sound great. Nice loudish rumble & bangs like a shit house door in a storm on deceleration . View attachment 750 View attachment 751 It all depends on (a) your budget & (b) how loud you want to go The only thing thats a must is to get rid of that sewing machine sound that comes as standard! You can pick up some 15" or 19" chrome turnouts cheap enough on ebay.
I've got the same, & they do the same. I know someone who just knocked out the first baffle, sounds loads better & apparently doesn't need a remap either. That's the cheapest option. He's currently knocking holes in the second baffle to get even more noise! I think Hi Flo & TORS are the same beasts.
Or failing that ive seen on one of the forums a guy just cut his standard pipes to the desired length.
Here you go me old mukka..... Chopped the pipes on my speedy - Triumph Forum: Triumph Rat Motorcycle Forums Personally i would slash cut them as opposed to straight cut as it gives it more kerb appeal  Look out on ebay for a cheap pair of standard pipes & get the grinder out! :upyeah:
:upyeah: me liking them mate i like the long slash cuts best i'm sure Triumph told me they do Tors or Hi flow + remap £290 but what sounds best... what they like on the motorway
You can still hear them when riding at a cruising speed on motorways but i dont find them annoying at all.
That's it then sewing machine out banging shit house door in :upyeah: many thanks to you and to all
I keep meaning to make a little vid of the bike running, & maybe a short drive by to get the sound of the pipes. But I just never seem to get round to it, there always seems to be a better way of wasting some time. Anyway there's plenty of them already on youtube. Oh, & although mine make plenty of noise there's no 'not for road use' stamp on them. I suspect if there is a difference between Hi Flo & TORS the TORS could have that on 'em. In the Triumph brochure they always refer to their aftermarket pipes as 'Hi Flo'.
I got 2 secondhand silencers of ebay for £50and had them slashed cut to the back pegs slipped him a £10 then knocked second baffle out sound awesome had a bit of back poppin nothing bad but had it remapped for after market pipes when it went for service didn't cost any extra happy days! try put pics on here when kids here show me
