I could do with a new pair of bike jeans as my old RST ones look washed out ,I only wear jeans now with a leather jacket so I don’t mind paying for some decent ones, I’ve had a quick look and fancy the single layer ones so my question is can anyone recommend a good pair? I’ve watched reviews on rockkertech which get good reviews but are expensive and roadskins easy rider which are priced well.
I've got Roadskin, and I'm happy with them. I find them comfortable, and they appear to be strong and well made so I believe they would hold up well if needed. They make my previous Bull-it jeans look like a bit of a joke, which now feel flimsy compared to the Roadskin. They are a relaxed fit, so you won't win any skinny jean fashion awards wearing them I've also got the fully lined Roadskin Paranoid jeans, that I've had for about a year, which are great for cooler weather as they are very warm...too warm for summer IMO, hence why I wanted single skin jeans, and I was impressed with the Paranoid jeans so brought the Roadskin Easyriders.
I have some of the Rokker jeans that are double layer (Dyneema inner layer) but I also have one pair of the Rokkertechs and I really like them. I found them on sale somewhere at some point--maybe Revzilla? Anyway, the single layer Rokkertechs are my go-to choice for riding when it's hot which is pretty regularly here in Arizona. I have to say that I really like all of my Rokker jeans--other than the price. But I've bought every pair I own--and also some that I bought for Mr. Sandi--when I've found them on sale. I'll have to check out the Roadskins based on the review of @MadMrB, too.
The jeans I wear are Richa (ladies ones). Super comfy and with Kevlar knee pads. They are excellent quality and did me proud on my Arctic trip.
Oops! Mine are SR6, and I was happy with them until I got the Roadskin Paranoid, which IMO are in a different league.
Motolegends have a video on their top single layer jeans, worth a look. They now only stock single layer jeans now
Good videos MadMRB cheers, roadskins look really good without being daft money, can you get these jeans over your boots?
I have a pair of Roadskin Easyriders, two years old still in good nick, true to size and comfy, not very stretchy but reassuringly solid. Fit over my TCX Hero boots just fine, on chilly days I’ll wear some rather sexy long johns (yeh ladies)
I usually wear short boots, and my only long boots I wear over my jeans. I've just measured the leg bottoms: Easyrider (single skin) just over 8" diameter (16.5" circumference), and Paranoid 9" diameter (18" circumference) approx - I hope this helps.
Cheers everyone for useful reply’s. Being stretchy is useful, I’ve noticed on my XE that with my normal stretchie jeans on I can get my feet it bit flatter on the ground lol than in my bike jeans.
Agree, I occasionally ride in my M&S stretchy jeans and can definitely get on and off easier and connect the ground better
These look like great jeans and I went to the website and they have a very good deal for essential workers right now. But it doesn’t seem that they make Roadskins in a women’s specific fit unfortunately.
