So I was whining about roasted leg on my Scrambler 1200XC

Fitted Verex decat and as I had already bought it wrapped pipes behind shields

Pleased to say volcanic heat now a thing of the past

Now for the science bit. On the chilli scale gone from Ghost chilli to Habanero

which would you say was the most affective at reducing the heat decat or wrapping?.

Hard for me to say as I kinda done them at the same time. I’d say decat probably as without it creating the heat there is bound to be less, flippin heavy as well

May I ask - apart from reducing the heat what are the other knock on effects of taking out the Cat ? Is it the same as a car and you might struggle to get it through the MOT in 3 years time or do you just put it back in at that point ?

As far as I’m aware bikes are not tested for exhaust emissions at MOT...

As Wessa said no bike emissions right now, it takes 30 minutes to put the cat back in, a lot of people have after fitting SP & Un-baffled pipes as its too loud
