My Daytona has two new coils. They are in series and ohm out correctly as do the pickup coils. The primary and secondary on each coil are good. Its a positive ground system wired as per instruction sheet. I even bypassed all the bike wiring and went from the battery negative terminal to the white lead on the MKIV. The red wire to the last coil in series on the positive stud along with the positive side of the battery. Black lead from the MKIV to the first coil in series to the negative stud on the first coil. Wire between positive of the first coil to the negative of the second coil. The pickup wires are on the right color coded wires also. I kicked it over with plugs out had mild spark ( I guess) Put them back in engine snorted and then nothing. Pulled plugs back out no spark at all! I then got a new MKIV and the exact same thing!! I must be doing something wrong!! I will include the schematic I wired by.

Addendem:: I don't have a starting capacitor between the plus and minus on the battery, The coils are new and according to the manufacturer they will work on a 12 or 6 volts system for this bike.

    No mention of new plugs.
While coil resistance checks ok, coil insulation may be bad, even if new , shorting internally under high voltage (hard to test without a megger).
I have no experience with this system but if it was mine I'd disconnect the black wire from the coils and briefly strike a jumper coming from the neg of batt to the coil side of wire to induce a spark. No spark= at least one bad coil. If you have a 6v source you can try each coil individually. To test the rest of the system find ONE known working 12v coil and connect as you would the in series 6v coils.
Check for high resistance or open coil wires.
Also the case of the coil probably needs to be grounded. Make sure it has a good ground (paint on frame, etc) My 2 cents. Good luck!

I'm sure that I read fairly recently that the Boyer ignition system only works on negative earth wiring. This may or may not be the case but it could be worth checking.
Apologies if I'm wrong:oops:. Perhaps @darkman can shed some light on the subject. He is very clever! And very talented. Probably younger, fitter, taller, richer and better looking than me as well! SIGH!:(

"Check for high resistance or open coil wires" . Oops. I meant plug wires.

The kit came with two separate wiring diagrams for positive or negative ground systems.

It was recommended I use resistor caps and the resistance of the secondary coil wire ( spark plug wire) with the cap on is about 5000 ohms. Is that too much?

Loom equals wiring harness and earth-ground. Only ever use resistor caps with Boyer Micro, all other Boyers never use resistor caps.

Ok here it is I still have no spark! The resistance on the Boss Emgo coil ( according to manufacturer will work on 6 or 12 volt systems). with a no resistance spark plug cap wire to the negative post on the coil is around 9K ohms on both. Primary on both is 5 ohms, 10 in series. Wired exactly as the diagram I included earlier. When I touch the stator wires together and separate no spark. Plugs are new please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
