    I was struck by how easy it was to adjust the tappets in the rocker boxes.

    1960 Speed Twin 5TAo_O and a 69 Bonneville:cool: - I qualify, although the Bonnie wasn't too bad in all fairness. Pushrod tubes .... aaaggghhh!:mad:

    A 1600 MkII Cortina GT was a very,very nice car. My boss had one when I was just starting out and he let me drive it a few times.

    The 3.2 ltr Carrera 911 cabriolet was the best car I'd had, followed closely by the 5.7ltr Mustang convertible with sidewinder exhausts that went along the sills - the noise was just awesome.

    How many of us have scrapped cars that now are collectable and expensive - Capri, Escort, Cortina, Sierra etc

    AAAH Renault 12, went alround the south /southwest coast windsurfing for years in one, bought it 8 yrs old, had it 5 years when it finally fell apart it had done over 230,000 miles! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

    Yeah, it was a great work horse, had holes in the roof where salt water from my boards dripped onto it, the guttering rotted away so I couldn't put a roof rack on so sh had to go!!
