Long way to go yet but I’m getting there slowly
Been a bit of a faff so far but I’m happy to remove it from the rack and can now work on it as a separate item

Put a top stop bar in for the slider part of the back rest
Drilled some holes in the sides so I could weld the bar in place from the outside as this will make it easier to dress it with my grinder

 

Triumph to upgrade Rocket 3 to 4.0 litres to cope with Dilligaf's extra fabrication!

 

Depending on how accurate my drilling and welding goes
I should get between 7-8cm of adjustment up and down for the back rest

I know I know it’s Feckin HUGE

I’ve ended up with 7cm of travel adjustment up and down
Got shit loads of cutting/shaping/drilling to do
But I’ve had enough for today and wor lass has brought me in some Doom Bar some IPA and a bottle of Jack Daniels
The sun is shining in the back garden so I’m gonna have a shower and retire to one of the garden loungers and get shitfaced
