My GT did that and it worried me if a cop knew about it then if I was stopped he could check it.

 

Yeah just a few mods . Impressive top speed! I traded mine for a GPz900 and was a bit disappointed, not nearly as exciting to ride as the turbo, but on the plus side it would go round corners like it was on rails...something the turbo never would!

 

I had a Gpz900, traded it for a Turbo, liked the engine but the handling was scary
Went back to a GPz900 after 6 months.......

 

Indicated 180mph on my zx9r E1
Legit 150 mph on another day as I got caught, fined and banned. All in the 1990’s can’t remember the last time I hit three figures.

 

Reminds me of when I got done back in 1990.
No idea of the actual speed but the quote from the police report was "following at speeds exceeding 120mph and he was still accelerating away"
This was on my GSXR1100L, with my brother on the back, down the A4 at Hammersmith.
Apparently the reason they caught me was because I stopped for some traffic lights. (I didn't actually know they were chasing me at the time, I was just on my way to Chelsea Bridge....)
One stroke of luck was the copper didn't turn up for the court case but I still ended up with a £400 fine and 3 points.....
Still got the summons somewhere in a picture frame.

Only do high speeds on the track these days.

 

My mate got done doing 130 UP Slack Hill ont way to Matlock. Her was caught on video by a souped up unmarked cop car. He asked for a copy of t'video, when he was in court!! Dint go down very well.....

 

I ride my pushbike up some decent hills ont way to work, but nowt like Slack Hill. Rather thee then me!!

 

I've never intentionally gone as fast as I could on any bike, but I remember an indicated 110 mph while passing a semi truck on my V2K. Maybe one day I'll see what Clyde the Goldwing will do.

 

My max was on a charity track day at RAF Waddington , long runway and not a public rd so no probs.

 

70.2mph at the quarter mile marker at Elvington - on a Lambretta - not bad on 10" wheels but no where near the class winner for day at 89.3mph (2015)
