These here are the spacers for the side of the rails I think that’s what you put under the rear mountings I’m sure that the bolts that are through them are for the rear where you got it wrong The two bolts to the right of these in your original picture are the ones that go with these spacers The hole to the rear of the side of the sub frame Far right in the picture below is where the spacers and bolts go The spacers sort of drop into a recess and are just loose until you get the bolts nipped up

Ok I think I have this sussed, but I'm not sure... I am still confused by the small dome hex screws with the shouldered collate ( see photo 1& 2). I know know that the chrome bracket sits flush to the mud guard. But why did these screws have collates on them..do they go like on the screw or not at all?
I have found and understood the other torque settings in the Haines manual basically 9NM for the smaller allen fixing screws 24NM for the smaller domed torx screws and 45NM for the larger (forward) domed torx screws. 10 NM for the rear chrome rail domed hex screws ( thanks @Dartplayer ).
I still think you have the nuts mixed. Right hand side are seat mounts raised, for top of the guard. Left hand side are slotted into rear guard and rail frame sits on top. Centre bolts hold rail on and top bolts secure grab rail
Yes, still unsure why the collate spacers were on them in the packet. I only started this so I could see if my HD XL solo rack could be made to fit, it seems it could although maybe not using the quick release. It sits quite high but could be cut and welded to the Triumph chrome rail to lower it. Sitting it high might be cool as I can stash stuff under it and even put a roll in front to act as a back rest if doing a run solo. My detachable Low Rider sissy bar /rack is too long unfortunately so that will be up for sale soon.
