Guys and girls, has anyone some tips on swapping over a rotor i.e. rotor remova?l. Have two and three leg pullers but the access is pants.
What a dumb arse, sorry crispey. Allegedly, it's a Daytona 955i lump, but the bits my lad and meself have had to swap over are suggesting maybe something else. Little things like the rotor and stator being different sizes, the oil cooler pipes coming from, and going to, different places
Top image is the original lump, lower one the 'new'. Alternator cover was a 'simple' swap until we got inside, rotor ans stator are different sizes ('new' engine has broken wiring out of the cover). Oil cooler pipework on the 'new' engine comes off the sump plate, old engine comes from the bottom of the crankcase.
Did you manage to sort this. I’ve just put a Daytona engine (your top picture) to replace my shot speed triple engine and have the exact same problem. the pipe connections where they were on speed engine are blanked so dunno what to do
