Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows where I can get fork extentions from for my 2014 Speedmaster. Thanks. Ian
These kind of things @dilligaf https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273766965883 seen them for Harleys as you say but not sure if available for Triumphs in that kinda length, but must be possible I suppose but cant see why
Long ? Harley riders know nothing about handling. It is all about "the look" . No engineering involved. ...J.D.
So are chap's and we don't go there, look at your bike and imagine a 5" rise on your forks, What angle will your engine sit at will there be any undo stress on frame and component's with the standard rake, imagine going around Welsh country lanes on it dodging sheep your choice mate.
Wouldn't such a mod be a serious violation of your insurance if they are not notified You may find it very difficult to make a claim of any sort by doing this. They could say the handling was negatively affected, or it made the bike more desirable to be stollen, or more offensive to others who may vandalise it Your premium would of course increase Sorry to be such a negative Nancy but it has to be considered
The longer the fork the more the head angle needs to be modified. Stretching the forks on a stock frame will make the bike sit high in front and shift a lot of weight to the rear wheel. The bike I showed above has a custom built frame to make it sit low. Look at the steering head angle. It must handle like crap. ...J.D.
Some very good points there guys. I hadn't considered all that. It may not be the best idea I've ever had.
Just thought. If we change the seat or change the exhaust, do we need to tell insurance? I was thinking of a single gel seat and a Trident exhaust.
