Bad news on the job phred. Thought companies were duty bound to Furlough people until this is all over? Good luck in the future mate
More than 1/2 of our 50 drivers got furloughed today, 80% wage, possibly till 31 May, we had a lot of volunteers too. I still working, SO FAR, although Im off till the end of the week now.
Always loopholes, but on further reflection we got bought out and merged with another company about June or July, not once did anybody from new management come by to see me about what our department did or what our software capabilities were for production. As I was currently busy firefighting the job from hell, I failed to notice. The new owner appears severely underfunded and unprepared
Always loopholes, but on further reflection we got bought out and merged with another company about June or July, not once did anybody from new management come by to see me about what our department did or what our software capabilities were for production. As I was currently busy firefighting the job from hell, I failed to notice. The new owner appears severely underfunded and unprepared, as the new facility they just built is totally too small to combine production of the two companies. And it is landlocked with no possibility to expand to even meet current needs. Somebody bit off waaay more than they can chew.
I've seen companies go to the wall after buying out other companies when they've just not had the cash funds to do the job. It's often a fatal mistake.
Sorry to hear this Phread, timing is shit too as difficult to get out there given the restrictions etc , hope you get sorted mate.
