    Hi guys,

As I'm bored and still stuck at home (as most of you soon will be, if not already) and fast approaching 40, it's only fair to join you old gits in a bit of a moan about modern culture, people and phrases. So here's my list so far:

Americanisms: "Hack" - Why is everything a hack?? Mainly denotes a common sense approach.

"Enough already" - Poor English, see above.

Phone calls - I mostly only speak to my Nan and Mum on the phone these days as no one wants to talk (probably just to me). You have to pre book calls with mates to check 'it's a good time'. Although my Nan thinks as I have a mobile I should be available 24/7 when she calls, no matter what the circumstances! She'll then ring my work mobile/other people if she can't get hold of me!!

Cashiers at the Supermarket - Don't bother asking if I'm OK, you don't really care (I know they are forced to).

The BBC - I detest them. Ruined Dr Who, which I loved as a kid. Full of PC lefty nonsense with unnecessary recasting/writing to "reflect modern times" on nearly every show. Also they only seem to have 20 actors that appear in everything with a fairly limited range (see Dr Who).

Facebook - This could have its own rant page. You all know why.

Adrian Durham - The definition of a massive c#nt. Massive bellend who shouts down callers on Talksport if they dare to disagree with his often narrow minded, shallow views.

YouTube Influencers - Why, just why!?? General morons with no real life experience giving out half baked advice (mainly from their sponsors) and telling us lies about their great (fake) life.

Adverts - No clever writing anymore, just plain annoying. That prick telling everyone to "bring it" is the most annoying one for me at the moment. Adturds is a great site for anyone with my disposition towards them.

Please feel free to add yours.

I'm adding 8k phones and TVs to the list! Pointless given the current infrastructure.

Plus no one wants to see every little wrinkle on those Plenty of Fish pictures I send to the ladies (not ladyboys, that was an honest accident and you can't do a meat and two veg check online).

    Whole conversations that are made up of the following;

    Like
    Amazing
    Exactly
    Amazeballs
    Basically

And a lot more words that have been hijacked into the snowballese language and had their definitions corrupted.

Can I add Woke to this. From reading online this was about being aware of political injustice (from racism within the police) now dumbed down to include veganism (as seen in the bullshit Burger King advert).

The irony being these smug vegans are (in some cases) doing more damage to the planet because of intensive farming whilst depriving people in the poorer countries of their own produce.

I cant stand the pretentious drivel constantly being spewed out by the youth of today. Being offended by everything and anything just to try and prove a point. Urgh.. shoot me now.
I hate how movies and films these days are all jumping on the wagon of ramming over-hyped social injustices down our throats. If i want to educate myself on womens rights, I'll do just that. Dont try to teach me via an action movie. (latest Terminator movie...)
Finally, I'd love to add vegans and vegies to the list. Only the ones that cant just do their thing without trying to beat me with their moral stick. You are vegan, good on ye. Dont try tell me I'm some kind of ar*ehole for doing what humans have been doing for ever.
    rant over.. (for now)

People who raise the tone at the end of a sentence like they're asking a question. So in a sentence like "so, we had to take her to hospital". It's like asking if you know what a hospital is FFS. Well of course I effin know, it's a big building with patients ! And that starting a reply with "so".:mad::mad:

You have nicely summed up the BBC output over here!

Terminator was sadly dying before the last one but the agenda change definitely influenced that. A John Connor story wasn't PC enough for sure.

Don't get me started on that one, if anything is guaranteed to immediately raise my ire it's that. Why is it I always associate such tone with smug, woke, snowflake little feckers?

With you on the telephone answering services. They don't work most of the time and you end up going through all the security rigmorale again.

On security questions I can never remember half of it. They need to get more creative with the questions. Some suggestions I'd make would be:

"Who gave you your first hand job "or "Who are you thinking of when making love to your wife"? Much easier to remember.

    Telemarketing and housecall salesmen (people).
Only exception was two pretty young lasses of God, but they didn’t hang around long at the outside man cave. I think they realised we were lost causes with pervy eyes :p:cool::joy:

I believe that's called "idiots inflection". And yes, it's f*cking annoying.
