So I picked up a year old Street Triple RS with 500 miles on it a few weeks ago, said hello on the forum but didn't actually show off my bike as it was all a little bit.... well.... standard Since getting it I have: Black stomp grips Renthal 47t sprocket anodised red Anodised bar ends red Billet oil cap anodised red Billet dipstick anodised yellow Anodised chain adjusters yellow Anodised side stand bracket red Polished and anodised side stand black Added 35mm jack up linkages Crash bars and engine covers Tail tidy Arrow end can Fly screen Suspension set up Bike now has over 1000 miles on it now so starting to give it some proper welly. Just waiting for some decent weather to hurry up so we can actually go out on dry roads for a change. Still on my list of things to do.... stainless decat exhaust headers, DID gold x-ring chain, Metzeler M9RR tyres, Hi Flow air filter, tuned velocity stacks

Nice bike Barefeets, I used to have one & thought it was great. As a matter of interest, how much riding did you do on it before changing the linkages and what is the ride like after the change? It's just be nosy really as left mine standard and I found it turned it great but was still very stable when hard on the gas out of corners, just wondered if the jack up kit dramatically changed either?

I did about 500 miles before the linkages arrived and I changed them over that day. It feels a much better position to me and turns in slightly nicer now. I just thought it looked too low at the back as standard and I did a similar thing on a previous street triple so I knew it didn't adversely affect the handling. If anything it feels more planted now and you get more clearance between foot pegs and tarmac with cornering

Yes nothing wrong with the theory of jacking up the back, first thing you do with a race bike when converting from a road model in order to get it to turn in better, sometimes at the expense of a little waggle on the bars when hard on the gas over bumpy corner exits, but that's when you add a steering damper! ISTR jacking up the back might make it less stable when flat out but then that's not likely to be a problem on the road for most of us.

Took a while to arrive but made much better than the lust racing ones which are mild steel and end up with flakey paint and going rusty. These ones are stainless steel and you can specify how high you want to go from the drop down menu. I went for 35mm which seems to have worked out well for me.
