On the plus side I have just come on to duty call out for the next two weeks and we have been told to self isolate (disperse) for the duty period. I may not be able to ride but I can do all the jobs at home I've been putting off
I heard that when the Italian rugby fans were refused compensation for the Ireland game,they came over en masse anyway. So there were 20-30 thousand milling around Dublin spreading the bug. We didn’t hear about that on the news, did we?
Well, My president has finally done Presidential. Yesterday he declared a national state of emergency, freeing up Billions of dollars to combat this virus. I don't know about the effect, other that the economical one, which was excellent. I am sure it is temporary though. and bye the bye, we are having the same grocery store rush over here, people are people all over the world!
They're turning flights to Spain around mid air and returning passengers back to the UK this morning.
That's just stupid - poor coordination and organisation. They shouldn't have got to the point where they were allowed to take off.

My sister and brother in law are in Tenerife right now, he just phoned to say the Island might be going into a lock down for 15 days
We are getting our share here in the western U.S. Just got word last night that many of the schools are closing. Religions services also [ours will be going to online streaming this weekend]. Wife and I are a bit old and my health has been marginal for years. No smoking. No drugs, and only minimal alcohol is probably the only reason I'm still alround. Just "go with the flow". Got plenty to do here at home. I'll go out only as needed. ...J.D.
Just got to keep a balanced view of this craziness. Due to my age, I am duly cautious. The political leaders, in this country at least, are pumping this for all they can get out of it [election year]… In my way of thinking ALL politicians are as "mad as a hatter". you can use browser plugins to change your geolocation to Italy, I've used them in the past for Netflix, the US Netflix service has more content. Not used one for a few years, but you can google for them, https://hola.org/ used to be popular, but were some security concerns. Might be worth the risk though
