Hi I have just bought a Speedmaster , had a Tiger 800 XRt for just under three years did around 34000 km a lot of the miles were one day trips between 700 to 1000 km which I had the right bike for so I decided to slow down a bit and get the Speedmaster But I didn't mean stop riding, this bike great around town and on smooth road but she a backbreaker on anything that's a little rough so I hope to see what I can found out on this Forum about Suspension and seat ideas from other members and get back riding 400km day trips and not down to the coffee bar ! Now about me I'm just over 60 and have been riding for only 6 years after a 30 years break from riding as I got married had kids and lost the toys I live in New Zealand which has great weather to ride all years round so on most Sunday I'm out on the bike.
Hi dilligaf two of them , the bike before Speedmaster was a Tiger XRt so it's a flip in the style of riding
Cheers Vulpes Kia Ora Helmut Visor Cheers David As you can see I have just worked out how to reply to more than one person at a time , only took me three attempts Cheers All !! ha ha
Welcome, from California. Lots of good aftermarket pieces for Triumph. One of the reasons I like them. I am 74 and still riding. You have to taylor the bike to your body when you get older. Your body is not as compliant as it used to be. I had to raise my bars 3" to get the slump out of my back. Lots of good aftermarket shocks out there too. ...J.D.
Hi Wire-Wheels yes I know want you mean not 20 and bulletproof anymore ,I had raise the bars on the tiger too ,so I have a lot more riding ahead of me . Where I work the age range for guys who ride bikes mid 40 to 72 we planning a ride in a couple of weeks Cheers
