That's another thing, how green and ethical are these electric cars? I heard they're using slave labour to dig massive mines in Africa, not to mention scraping the sea beds for the minerals to make the batteries. Then there's the extra power stations needed to provide the power to charge them all up. I actually looked at getting an electric van for my work and maybe I'm wrong but I calculated two or three grand a year in electric to charge it up every night
My sentiments exactly, if we have an world full of electric transport I think it will have an equally devastating effect on the planet to what they are striving to avoid, I can't understand why vehicles can't use a dynamo to recharge as they're moving, but that would mean less wonga in the fat cats pockets

I don't think it's a case of it wouldn't work, more the case that the cash going into the pockets of greedy cooperations around the globe would be greatly reduced, whenever there are goods of any kind there is money to be made from it.
