Just seen this Nikki, I’m so sorry for your loss and the way it happened. Life sucks sometimes, but your Dad knew what he meant to you nonetheless, and would have understood. Take care Martin
Bless you , I feel you pain, cancer is a bastard disease, there won't be a single member of this forum that hasn't had a friend or a loved one taken from them by it. It was tough on you that he took a turn for the worse after you had flown out to the Canaries, but you really weren't to know, so don't beat yourself up. I wish you the courage & strength to deal with you grief in the knowledge that for your Dad at least the suffering is over.
@BonnieCat Hi, Nikki, just checking in to see how you're doing and to let you know I've been thinking of you. Sending love across the pond as you mourn and miss your dad. ~~Sandi
Thank you @Sandi T. for thinking of me. I’m still grieving for my partner who died in July 2018 and now my Dad. It’s very difficult but at least now I’m working my mind is occupied during the day. It’s just the rest of the time I have to try to cope with it.
Just picked up on this thread, Bonniecat. So sorry for your loss. I know how you feel,I lost both my parents, 4 months apart, to cancer. We cremated my wifes mother on Wednesday, and she's been inconsolable since she died 4 weeks ago. I'm hoping she'll start to recover now the funeral is out of the way. Everyone grieves differently. My heart goes out to you.
