2007 model Bought it as a road bike to do trackdays but it's a little too compact for me. 17,000 miles. HPI clear. It has been down at some point in it's history on the RHS before I bought it, but it's not on the insurance and is barely noticeable as can be seen in the pics. I put new HEL front brake lines on it and replaced the fork seals when I first got it. £4000 Would consider a swap as well.
Must admit, I was pleasantly surprised with how well the 600 went and handled. It was a close decision but having ridden the Speed RS at a trackday, I've decided I need something that's got the weight and handling of the 600 with the extra space of the Speed
So, what will fill the void then mate, weight & handling of a 600 with the room of a Speed .... Sounds like a Street R to me?
Would be tempted but want something where parts are cheap and plentiful, which isn't really a Triumph trait..... Had a GSXR1000k4 last time I did trackdays which wasn't bad A bit long in the tooth now though.....
Mmmm! spares in cheap & plentiful supply How about a lovely race/track ready Bandit? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-600-Bandit-Mk2-Race-Bike-with-V5/153684330282
Nice try..... Might have to compromise a bit on the weight and look at R1's and Fireblades, loads of them around with the bits I want.
God loves a trier! ... and it is hilarious if you overtake a big sportsbike on a 600 Bandit on a trackday! You're right though, R1's in particular are in plentiful supply, did think about going the pre injection R1 route for racing next year, but really don't like inline fours that much.
Still got this (haven't really advertised it properly yet, I''l leave that to the Spring) Would consider swapping it for something else
I have a GSXR 1000 on a 12 plate which may float your boat. Nice spec with Dynojet module quickshifter and PCV, 175bhp at rear wheel. Lots of bits on it and less than 5k miles. Looking for straight sale, not in a rush let me know.
