There’s as much shoite in the owners manual these days too, I just love the bits where it tells you how to ride the feckin thing, talk about covering their arse or what Love to see the look on the dealers face when you skip to those pages and read them before setting off on your new bike
I’ve had a few new bikes and I have never looked at a manual before riding away from the dealers. Normally get a walk around the bike with one of the sales team. The last time they just said are you happy with controls, I said yep and rode off.
Just sorted the insurance out for my Rocket 3R £268.64 That’s with Triumph insurance who advertise on here Hastings who I’m with now didn’t want to know and charged me for cancelling my policy £13 Carol Nash wanted £538.03 FFS Never mind it’s all sorted now 19days to go
Good news. Interesting that Hastings did not want to insure it, you thought they would have at least quoted.
Yep likely yo be the case, but with computer modelling for risk assessment, you would have thought they would be able to....
The insurers can probably accurately assess the real risk/costs, it's the random profit generator that struggles with the extra margin increase on the new Rockets
I had a problem with a few insurers who didn’t want to know if it didn’t have an alarm. Mine was £234.
Well done Dilli, great price, (did you mention your a sunderland supporter and you ride(well stay on) in all weathers (well normally) ? .
In Motorcycle News Wednesday 13th Feb. Roadtest Triumph Rocket 3 R vs Ducati Diavel 1260 S on the MCN250 Quote "With enough torque to spin the world backwards with every twist of the throttle, there’s nothing quite like a Rocket 3. It’s big, it’s ballsy and – as MCN tester Jon Urry found out after 250 miles on the MCN250 – it’s bloody brilliant, too. Ducati’s alternative, the Diavel 1260 S is a little lighter on its feet through the bends, but can’t match the British bruiser when it comes to pure punch. We love it." Oldfart
I agree with you, @dilligaf! That's why there's a gorgeous black Mustang Bullitt in my garage right now. Silly way to spend but I doubt I'll ever regret it. We can't take it with us! The money or the car or bike. But the car and bike can bring us great joy while we're still living. Who the feck knows what the future holds??
as my black R3's in the garage right now so I can go look at it at anytime and I know it's a tough job but I'm willing to keep ya going by taking more pictures of it mate.
