Ahhhh, you're killing me, @Helmut Visor! :p We had to cancel our scuba trip to Cozumel that was scheduled for mid-March. No, actually, thanks for posting these great photos. :kissing_heart: Cozumel is a bit like a home away from home for me as it's great diving and not that difficult to travel to from Tucson. I started diving Cozumel back in 2004 and have probably been there 20-25 times over the years. The Hotel Barracuda is about a block from the condo where we stay. Your photos make me eager to reschedule our dive trip! :grinning:

a publicity shot for Daystate back in the day. Tony Belas gave me his hat because I didn't have one for the award ceremony after winning the round and the night shoot at Ford.

I've only got one break barrel rifle. A .22 Theoben Olympus. It's a gas ram rather than a Springer, so it uses a gas cartridge to act as the spring. Twitches a bit when you shoot it, but the ram is so fast that by the time the twitch happens the pellet is well on its way to the target. The trick with it is a nice gentle hold so the rifle is allowed to do its own thing, which gives consistency from shot to shot.

    Quarry 2004 First UKAHFT 60ex60 (1).jpg

This photo was taken by Barry Hutchins (rip). He didn't know it when he took the photo, but it was taken as I was getting up from my last shot in the Quarry Rifles round of the UKHFT Rd3 in 2004.... And the first time anyone had scored a maximum 60ex60 in a UKHFT event. (It has been done many times since, but I was the first!) The irony is that my Daystate was locked in the boot of Tony Belas' car and I didn't have time to check zero it, so I just picked up my Falcon that was set up for the night shoots and shot the round with that instead.

I am very much 'between bikes' at the moment, and with a new home & young family my time is more limited than i would like.
I do like to play a bit still, but really need to knuckle down to it more.
Also enjoy furniture making, and will most likely get back to it as a semi retirement business in the next few years. Here's a few pics of my last piece.

P29 is off Cirkewwa, P31 is by Comino. Doesn't look like the P29 at first glance.

    thanks mate, as do I.

I took part in battles all over the UK, also in Ireland as in the one in the pic (Irish Times), did the Jorvik viking festival a few times, great fun, also as an Archaeologist I have excavated a few viking sites in Scotland and in Wales and am published as a specialist in Norse pottery from the Norse period in the outer isles

@Helmut Visor, I'll be eager to see some photos from your Red Sea liveaboard trip! What is the liveaboard you'll be on? I'd love to get your opinion on it when you return. :grinning:

Mail shirt made from spring washers, check.
    Wooden sword, check.
    Cardboard shield, check.
    War face, check.

Lots of upset parents whose shop bought plastic stuff all broke on Robert’s sword, shield, and armour... PRICELESS!

    Thank you!

The instructions for the shield were 'make a cardboard shield'.... So 4 layers of corrugated cardboard cross laid, cover in an old bit of dust sheet, paint in white emulsion, pick a design (Robert wanted Toothless from 'How to train your dragon'). I marked it out and Robert painted it.

It hangs on his bedroom wall now.
